My five favourite restaurants for girls night out
So you want to know the top spots in London with the best food and cocktails? Well then you’ve come to the right place. I like to consider myself a restaurant connoisseur. Nothing makes me happier than sitting in a lovely restaurant sipping cocktails with my girls. Lets not forget decor and presentation though, I’m a sucker for instagrammable spots. Without further ado, here’s my top five london restaurants for Girl’s night
1: Sexy Fish
First on my list would be the iconic Sexy Fish in Mayfair. To me, no one does cocktails and crazy decor like this place. Imagine walking from the bleak streets of London and somehow finding yourself in a magical underwater wonderland. I felt like I became Ariel simply from the electrifying decor. But that’s not all. The food – Asian cuisine with a hyperfocus on Japan – leaves your taste buds more than satisfied. In fact, I find myself craving the high quality dishes from time to time. My food recommendation you ask? Definitely the truffle gyoza (keep in mind the menu is seasonal and changes often).
2: Chai Wu
Nothing beats shopping in Harrods then taking the escalators up to the top floor for some delicious food at Chai Wu. The high-end Chinese restaurant offers a luxury spin to the best Pan-Asian cuisine. It’s a restaurant I visit almost weekly as a treat for my girls and I. Who doesn’t like delicious food that’s also healthy. In the whole of London, I don’t think anyone makes Lychee Martinis as good as Chai Wu does. Catch me here feasting on some aromatic duck and sipping cocktails.
3: Stork Mayfair
If you’re looking for a taste of Africa then look no further. Stork Mayfair reminds me of the best thing about my home country. It has everything from well known dishes like plantain and jollof to less known dishes like Ras El Hanout Lamb Beignet with an African twist. It has everything and more with an elevated take on traditional African dishes. Definitely one of my go-to London hot spots.
4: Zuma
Next up, we’ve got Zuma. My go-to for something more on the traditional Japanese side. I’ve never had sushi as fresh as the sushi at Zuma. The girls and I love to have a chat over some lychee rose petal martini and sushi. Make sure to give Zuma a visit for a more relaxed Japanese dinner.
3: Hakkasan
Finally on my list, Hakkasan. If you know me personally then you’d know that this restaurant could be considered my second home. I cannot get enough. Although it’s not as instagramable as the other two restaurants, it makes it up with the food and cocktails. It’s the perfect spot for a chill girls night out where you can have a laugh and talk about the silly things in life while drinking the most divine cocktails. I would recommend giving the “Good as Gold” cocktail a try. I wouldn’t be able to describe this cocktail if I tried, but a creation by Hakkasan’s front of house team is one that definitely won’t disappoint.
And that’s it! My top five places for a girls dinner in London! Make sure to give them a try.
